SELF-PRIMING PAINTS FROM LITTLE GREENE
Posted on 24th June 2024 at 15:30
Discover the latest paint innovations from Little Greene, which will remove the need for a separate primer on most surfaces. Grip technology has arrived.
Big news from the team at Little Greene Paint Company . They have taken the ever-popular, environmentally-friendly Intelligent paint finishes to the next level by adding brand new Grip™ technology to the entire range.
What that means in practical terms is that the paints are 'self-priming'. The primer is in the same can as the top coat, saving you time and energy when you're painting. Now there's no need for that preliminary layer of primer when you’re preparing your surface to decorate.
The new Intelligent paints can be used on virtually any surface, they’re quick and easy to apply and you can choose from a range of six finishes, ranging from absolutely flat to high gloss. As well as walls, woodwork and furniture, the new formulation is suitable for use on radiators, wall tiles, melamine kitchen cupboards, uPVC and glass - notoriously difficult surfaces to paint without specialist primers. They’re also water-based, quick-drying and washable, so great for areas of high traffic.
Finishes Guide
Intelligent finishes come in all of the beautiful Little Greene colours and they range from flat to high gloss sheen levels. Here’s a quick guide to get you started on your home interior decor decisions:
- Intelligent Matt Emulsion (perfect for busy family homes, hallways, kitchens and kids’ rooms).
- Intelligent Eggshell (a low-sheen finish for woodwork and walls).
- Intelligent Gloss (this is a quick-drying, high gloss finish for interior and exterior trim, including front doors).
- Intelligent Exterior Eggshell (for all your exterior woodwork and joinery).
- Intelligent Satinwood (a satin finish for interior woodwork, household joinery, skirting, doors and windows).
- Intelligent Floor Paint (perfect for wooden and concrete floors).
- Intelligent ASP (an all-surface primer undercoat for interior and exterior use if you're working on a tricky surface or want to stick to a separate primer).
Leave us a comment if you've tried it already or if you want more info on any of the finishes available. We'd love to know what you think.
